Poesía Borracha

My second poetry collection, Poesía Borracha, brings together 51 lyrical poems written between 2000 and 2006, three of them in English. In its prologue, I describe poetry as “that morning bath with warm water where the worn skin of a heart is cleansed,” while borracha—drunk—can be with pain, with joy, with both, or with everything. In these verses, the soul becomes our twin: the one that carries all those emotions that, in my case, I find relief in releasing onto paper.

Mi segundo poemario, Poesía Borracha, reúne 51 poemas líricos escritos entre los años 2000 y 2006, tres de ellos en inglés. En su prólogo describo la poesía como “ese baño mañanero con agua caliente donde se limpia la piel gastada de un corazón”, mientras que borracha puede serlo de dolor, de alegría, de ambas o de todo. En estos versos, el alma se convierte en nuestro hermano gemelo: ese que carga las emociones que, en mi caso, encuentro alivio al desahogar sobre el papel.
